Steamboat?

I put this in the Colorado regional forum, but want a faster response.

Me and a bunch of friends and family are taking our trip out west this year to steamboat?

How are the conditions? I know they don't have some trails open.

What is the park like? Features? size of jumps?

We are going january 20th. Any chance they will have all the runs open by them, and some powder? not sure if you guys would know that though.

general info thread^

As far as snow conditions, we have had a few little storms here and there but it is still pretty boney. More snow is supposed to hit around jan 16th.

About 80-85 percent of the trails are open, pretty much everything besides the steeps and some of pony area.

Park wise, we have a medium park with like 6 or 7 smallish jumps and bunch of jibs/boxes/rails which is really, really fun. Big jumps and/or main park will hopefully open within the next week or 2. pipe is open though, thats really fun.

If you need more info PM me, i ski everyday and would be willing to show you around if you want. lemme know!

I spent a week out West last year, and one of those days was in Steamboat. They hadn't gotten dumped on recently or anything, but the Sunnyside was a blast. I doubt it's open because of the lack of snow, but the East Face was fun. Make sure to pop in the woods on the way out of the trail. I ended up getting lost in 2 feet deep pow.

As of right now the snow is shit in Colorado except in some spots. If you wanna ski pow I would reccomend Wolf Creek or Purg considering what the snow is like at this point and where it has been falling.

i have connects to go to either steamboat or park city for spring break.. which one would be the better option?

Welp I just had complex fracture in my right humerus, I need surgery and will not be skiing at steamboat or for the rest of the season
