Starter EC setup.

Hey....I'm 17, 6'1 160lb, and want to get into surfin...what would you suggest for a board shape and length and wetsuit for a newcomer on the EC for the next few seasons...all the help appreciated.

get a longer beefier board to start. like a 7'2 or something. something like a fish would be sick. and with wet suit and stuff. go to a shop, they will fit you. get 3/2 cuz thats perfect for summer surfing.

do u have any other board riding background like snowboarding, skateboarding, longboarding or anything? also, do u wanna go into the fall/winter, or just kind of a weekend/summer thing.

hes never surfed before. Get a 9'0 longboard so you can get into waves easy and have more time to get up. For wetsuits i used to have a xcel x flex, it was cheap and sick.
