I recently went to starbucks and got a large iced drink, then when i finish the cup is 3/4 of ice. Most ridiculous thing ever. 5 dollars for a large cup of ice. Sorry had to share.

Just warning everyone out there. Don't get iced drinks!
 
I used to work at Starbucks. It's the most ridiculous thing ever. Here's a hint for all you NS people.

Lattes are more expensive than cappuccinos because it has more milk. They are both essentially the same thing, expresso, and steamed milk, except the cappuccino has less milk and more foam. So if you want to save money order a "wet cappuccino," which has less foam and more milk like a latte. And never buy the food there, it's been sitting in that display case for awhile, not the freshest.
 
well i work at tim hortons, and i never put a lot of ice in our ice coffess. some of my coworkers put so much, but i know whats its like to have a shit load of ice in my drink, so i leave that shit out.
 
I stick to the caramel frap. That drink is so good. But the number of them around is crazy. Especially now that safeway is putting them in. So any mall that used to have a safeway and starbucks will now have 2 starbucks... And there is a corner in Vancouver that has a starbucks on 2 of the corners and I think a blenz within eyesight too... It's insane.
 
sorry but i don't like spending 6.50 on a coffee that's full of fat and almost 1000 calories.

I worked at Starucks for a while, it really doesnt deserve the hate. Its expensive, but if you have a problem with the price dont fucking go there. Its like going to Armani and buying a suit and then complaining because you just spent $1000.

If you dont want that much ice, ask for less ice... really not that hard.
 
I've bene on a kick of making my own iced coffees at home. Can't bitch about too much ice then!

Also, coffee is one of the things I don't skimp on. I buy quality coffee beans. None of that Folgers/Maxwell BS.
 
working at starbucks was the worst job i ever had. i worked there for a month. its stupid. i was getting paid $9/hr to make drinks that would have easily paid me $20/hr if i included costs. its so dumb they are such a stupid corporation. i would rather go out and spend the $4 on a latte at a locally owned coffee shop then the $3.75 on a latte at starbucks. and not to mention their coffee is awful.
 
You know anyone who works at that "locally owned" coffee shop with the $4 latte?

Also, Starbucks has one of the better benefits packages of ANY part-time employer. Honestly, $9/hr to make coffee and work a register is not too bad pay-wise.
 
Im sorry but this is just BS. They have the best employee benefits you can get. Its much better than working at some shitty fast food place and can be chill a lot of the time.

Also, the coffee is not shit. People seem to think its cool by saying that their coffee is crap, when in reality it is a lot better than anything you'd get at Tims or any other fast-food/coffee/donut store. Its pretty good coffee, youre just a tool.
 
no theyre cofee does taste like turd! I am used to good tim hortons cofee and even my home made coffee tastes better. Everytime I order a normal coffee at starbucks I threw it out. it tastes like a past date bitter rotten bean that was rubbed in an old mans asshole if you ask me!
 
there are several corners in vancouver like that... 2, 3 starbucks. it's just too weird.

and yeah it's pretty easy to make your own iced coffees at home :)

 
a few years ago starbucks was trying to put a starbucks on mackinac island and i saw some chick on a bike with a sticker that said "friends dont let friends drink starbucks"i lol'd
 
i have to say that Starbucks is really good but i only buy there on occasion because of the high price, seriously 6 bucks for a coffee...
