Why are there like 24 teams in the playoffs in hockey and basketball?

That said it would be pretty cool if they had a good Stanley cup riot here in Vancouver again.

obviously coping here but thinking back to the lowry goal the game was a millimeter away from being 6-6. if they can get league average goaltending and convince manson to stop sending pizzas to the wrong team it's gonna be competitive

LOL i fucking hate the rangers. Their entire fanbase is fake. I've been to like 20 rangers games because the company i worked for had season tickets and 80% of the crowd were suits.

But yea islanders 14 mins into this game without a SOG. PATHETIC.

Isn't hellebuyck also the best goalie in the league or something? Heard the commentators praising him, regardless the avs are averaging 6 goals against him through 3 games its pretty wild

yeah he had an insane season and then just totally imploded over the last 3 games. feel like it’s only a matter of time before he remembers how to play and we get blanked tho

Lol Vegas has its own population it’s not just a tourist town so the fans aren’t fake buddy. I was born here and my dad played hockey and my mom figure skated.

False season tickets sold out before they even played their first game but try again. The hype train was on from the first game. Everyone in Vegas waited there whole life for any pro team

4 cups as an original six team is the joke. Imagine existing for 100 years and only having 5 competitors and still only being able to win four times. It's so pathetic. THe leaves havn't won since the 60's and havn't won a playoff series in 20 years and they have more cups.
 
Isles not out yet but theyre basically out.

Panthers on a mission since last year. they believe they deserve a cup .... Miami is also one of the top 3 hottest cities in the country right now and with the girls and lack of state tax it's quickly becoming a financial hub.

I like Edmonton because i think Mcdavid is a hockey phenom and will earn a cup soon.

CO has some tremendous leadership talent with veterans experience and goaltending. TBH idon't know anything about this team at all except patrick roy was a beast and landeskog is a monster and cale makar is a freak of nature.

Rangers have a seriious shot... THey made the right moves at the deadline and Shesterkin is back to his allstar form. THeir Powerplay is top 2 in the league and their defense has gotten substantially better within the last year.. I don't like the rangers but i respect the talent. They can easily win the cup but we all know what happens to the team that wins the Pres Trophy.

Canucks making noise and deserve to be in the mix. TBH i don't watch many west coast games because i'm an old geriatric and i got to bed at 10PM EST. So the nucks and oilers are teams i never get to see. But from what i've heard they have a young talented team.

Canes...... They are a powerhouse. They have veteran talent as well as young draft talent. Anderson was not at all good on the leafs but now he's a brick wall on the canes because they have a super solid defense. Their PP is the only one that matches the rangers and they have a better penalty kill even with the 38 year old brent burns.

the employees at ball arena are putting in work with the avs and nuggets both in the playoffs. how fuckin sick would it be if they both won?!

Hes been known to struggle with drugs/booze since a foot injury, primarily opioids. Was put in the player assistance program back in January and I think he violated his terms and couldn't fight his demons off. Kinda sad honestly because this is a huge quiet killer in pro sports world. We just don't ever hear or see about it.

But yeah he allegedly was on the booger sugar during games. Rules are rules though. It's not the 80s and 90s anymore.
