Stand height on Dukes and Barons?

Hello all, I currently have a dedicated touring setup, but I was thinking about mounting some dukes or barons on my Jib skis, so that its easier to hike some fun jump spots and whatnot. My only concern is that with the extra height/weight I wont enjoy them as much if I decide to take a few laps in the park. I'm a strong skier, and I don't really think it will have much of an effect, but I am just kind of stuck on the fence. Thanks +K!

I skied the Dukes this past year, a little heavy when touring, but when skiing I didn't notice the weight. As far as stand height goes they are kinda weird to get used to but after that you should be good

Idk if I'd do that. Dukes don't hold up well to jibbing. That moving afd isn't very durable. If you do break it its an easy $20 fix.

That aside your question was about stand height. If that's what you're worried about look into a guardian. With the non moving afd it's about half the height of a duke. And you shouldn't need the adjustable afd cause you have an alpine lug. Unless you're skiing a rubber sole at boot. That would be a strange set up.

The new gaurdian does have a sliding afd to allow touring boots to be used bur yeah I would rather those then guardians or look at the tyrolia Frame binding which I completly can't remember the name of.

Adrenalin 12 / 13 / 16, There even cheaper if you look for the Head or Liberty Branded ones, Theres a 18 Version in the Head branding to from memory.

Thanks for the response's yall, I really appreciate it. Does anyone have any experience with the tyrolia\head adrenaline series? Any durability issues? I wont be rocking pure AT boots either, just my Waymakers.

i have the adrenalins. ive only used them for a handful of tours but i really liked them. thought over the decision between them and guardians (was put off from marker's frame AT bindings from the start) for a long time and was super happy with my decision. can't really elaborate more right now but feel free to PM me if you have questions

My big problem with the adrenaline is the footprint. Though I have not seen it pull it would seem to be susceptible to it if skied hard. I haven't dealt with that binding hardly at all so I can't speak to it too much.

I wouldn't worry about the durability on a guardian. We've yet to send one back. Can't say the same for the marker. But they stand behind that on warranty everytime.
