is there any pretty stable follow cams that are under 100 bucks i have a t3i with a kit lens for now most likely getting the tokina 11-16 soon but then i wont have so much money left over what you guys think

yep i think im just gonna make one, But one more question has anybody had any experience with the Opteka X grip?

if you want something like that, you'd be better off just building your own. they don't really stabilize your footage too much, they just make the camera easier to hold. for really low angle and stationary shots they're good, but follow-camming with one isn't the greatest. still a lot better than hand held though

yea thats what i want to start for a handheld but then eventually i want to get a glidecam, cause i feel like the ones you make are ridiculously big and not worth it

Check out tyler's "$40 DIY glidecam" I made one and I haven't had the chance to set it up properly yet, but it seems like it'll be good, has all the things glidecams have, also he's got a test video that looks pretty good. I was looking at tests of that opteka grip and it looks like a POS

Sorry, fucked that up. But I just glued arrows to my grip and added the wheels(I can take them off) and it works as a slider too, it's actually really smooth.

If you're down with building something bulky, do this:

it's been great to me, most shots in this were done with it:

wayyy fucked up like everything's on the side and no spacing or differentiation between posts

I made this with it, it does not work as well as a steadycam or a glidecam and it wont do anything but help you hold the camera more comfortably. Make a steadycam or a glidecam.

Feel free to repost it proper. I deleted the post so it would go back to proper formatting.
