Just played it for about 30 minutes. Must say.. skiing in a videogame.. pretty sick for what we've come. I remember 2 years ago bitching and moaning, and now we finally have one, complete with sponsors and the whole nine (armada and others). its a good game, but definitely way way way to fast paced. its fun and the actual skiing (carving and turning) is done exceptionally well. but the high speed and somewhat rocker style to the game is shitty. i dont like how everything is all flashy and in your face and grungy. but i love how its finally like a real mountain with other skiers on the mtn. next to you, and real lifts and ski patrol its cool. the spinning is overexagerated, i can throw a 1440 too easily and the boost with the blurred camera screen is overdone. maybe just for high speeds but i feel like you touch the square button and the screen immediately jerks.. it gets annoying. but im still going to buy the game. on a scale of 8 i'd give it a 7, only because we finally have a freestyle skiing game.. i admit its not the best (much better than jonny mosely) the rails are NOT MAGNETIC YES! its actually hard to, and i got a 270 on to 450 switch up to 270 hard and it was pretty cool actually. i would reccomend buying it. only because the more sales means more games in the future. hope you guys get a copy of the FREE demo disc you get to play like 2 levels and its nice. if you cant get a hold of a copy im selling 1 brand new still in wrapper. message me about pricing. later fellas

I definetly agree the game is really fun but the blurry stuff is annoying. I wish that you could spin like really slowly instead of only one spinning speed. Some parts are really hard it took me like 10 tries to do a cab 10 and the rails are really fun. I agree that its not the best but still really good

demos are only for ps2 but i think the actual game is gonna be for all 3 systems and the gamecube one is going to have a mario theme

i just played it again. its so much better the 2nd time. i figured out how to do slower spins. you just preamp like normal and just turn the opposite way when u get off the jump. i did a sick 9 double safety to rail to 270 out. i know its somewhat unrealistic but Candide did an 810 cork to rail so its pretty damn close and it looked so sick

you can^ i figured it out. after you spin in the air just push/hold the opposite spin direction to spin slow and tweak out a double nose 3 its so sweet.. and if you hold R with full boost you can do sick tricks.

the game is pretty good for what i first expected. dont let what people say about it hurt you from buying it. id def. reccomend it, just because its the closest thing we have to actual skiing when we're not.. you feel me?

yeah i just got my demo today and it is great^ holding R to the left or any direction makes you like take off your skis and do crazy stuff. its crazy . but overall i liked the game except for the fast paced part.

R does like Uber tricks if you know the old versions. it does unrealistic stuff like take ur skis off and spin em in slow mo. its kinda cool actually

i finally got my demo today..... HELL YES. all of the grabs in there were sick with some double grabs and double japans. the rails are so much fun to mess around with and yes you can butter which makes it even better. what i liked the most was how you could slow down your spin by hitting the opposite direction on the pad. finally you can do a huge smooth 3 or whatever and you don't always have to spin a 1080. major props to the guys at EA for doing a killer job. and this is a huge step in the right direction

yoh dalnrepresent you wont be able to play it if you have a europe PS2 because north american games only work on northamerican platforms

i just got the demo in the mail, and let me tell you it is so fun....alomost real execpt for the uber tricks but those are cool to......i think everyone should get it.

Skiing in NC aint so bad

I hate it when snowboarders think they are so cool because they can 50 50 a rail
 
i just realized the one thing that i wish they would improve are the off axis spins, they're way too limited with only misty's and rodeos. there need to be more cork and bio stuff

Well it is not the best looking cork, But do a frontflip and spin a the same time and in corks it kinda. It look pretty gay doing it.

so far everything sounds very impressive except not having controllable off axis spins is not cool at all! Im sooo stoked to see this shit.

HOLY SHIT I GOT THE DISC.

but its not what i thought it would be.

1. too jerky. its like falling down a mountain and performing tricks in between bounces.

2. too "xtreme" for my tastes. ssx3 was very nuetral, this is Mountain Dew and Ollie Pop status.

3. NO NOSE BUTTERS ON SKIS??? WTF!!! you can tail butter but no nose press and a FUCKED UP tail press.

I think the prob is that the skiing portion is faster, where as the snowboarders are better suited for tricks.

still, a steezed out super slow No Grab 540 ruined this games chances of sucking. Thats right... there is a grab called a No Grab. Monster Tricks are not as integral to the gameplay, but do make the races alot easier.

well see if the gameplay is a little smoother at launch, and whether or not they hook us up wit ACTUAL tail and nose presses.
