can somebody please send me the installer for spybot search and destroy? i know i can download it for free but my computer has a virus that wont let me download anything. so if anyone has the installer can you send it to me through AIM or something? thanks

Ad-aware works better, and I don't think it will get rid of viruses, only spyware, unless their the same thing?

ad-aware does work better, and no, it wont get rid of a virus, only spyware. spyware is just random temp files that send info back to the source. A virus is somewhere in your c drive. i would find it, and just lock out that partition or sector. that is probably your best bet. you could try formatting it, it may work. just make sure you have your o/s install disk before you do that tho.

adaware doesn't work at well as spybot. i ran adaware on my computer to get rid of spyware. it got rid of most of it but there were still some annoying bugs. i got spybot and it picked up about 50 things that adaware missed.

I run Ad-Aware 6, Spybot, and McAfee SecurityCenter and ViruScan (the 15-day trial). It works great with that setup, you shouldn't have any problems with viruses and spyware/malware with that.

spybot is better then ad-aware by far! and i am not sure how good it is but i do know it is good, that is WebRoot Spy Search. it is extremly good too
