Spring skiing Squaw/Mammoth

Hey all, I'm thinking on going up to Squaw for the day tomorrow. How are the spring conditions right now? I would assume iced over in the morning and more slush in the afternoon??. When would be the best time to go? thinking of going to mammoth in a couple of weeks so question there, is it worth it to drive up from Sacramento?

Thanks in advance!!

I heard it's been pretty good, I've never actually ridden there though. But grabbed a couple comps today so I'll get it in this weekend.

Go as early as possible, snow gets slushy longer you wait. Take the tram at squaw straight to the top. Bottom is more crowded and slushy.

I’m in Sacramento and would be up for driving there Friday night and staying the weekend.

I don't think the tram is running. Just Funi and Kt from the base I think.

Ill be out tomorrow morning if anyones up there. Gonna be my last day riding in CA till next year I think.

Last weekend the tram was running in addition to the Funi.

Why end your ski season early? The snow is good.

Oh word that makes sense. I was gonna ride sat but didn't go up.

I'm over it honestly. And I've been done with work for 2 weeks. If I'm not working I can't afford to be here. Not buying an Ikon cause I'm leaving.

Gonna ride CO for a week on my way back east. Hang out there for a month and then I fly south for the southern winter.
