Spring Skiing, Last Day Rituals

Now that we are reaching the time of extreme UV radiation, warm days, hero slush and hoping your local hill extends its season another weekend, its time to talk about spring skiing rituals. My last day of the season I always ski without a shirt and shred around the mountain as hard as I can. Its fun to have that added level of consequence knowing you will get torn up if you go down. What do you guys do to cap off the season?

Good luck to ski until they kick you off the mountain. Always last chair never last run.

Season goes all year but if it's the last day of your pass or Memorial Day or Labor Day or really any excuse you can think of then you can rack up bonus points for pushing it to the end.

Double bonus if you take the last chair up and immediately unclip and start boot packing up hill.

No shirt, shred hard as possible, usually try and hurt myself doing something I have no business trying, lots of weed

I like to tear the muscles in my calf putting me on light duty for the work season so I’m well rested for next ski season

I typically send it cause if I get hurt there’s 6 months to heal. If it’s warm Hawaiian shirt then grill on the side of the slopes maybe a saucer boy costume. Then as I’m approaching the lodge on my last run I start to bawl my eyes out.

Ski hard , try something new, wear myself completely out. Cry a little in the car on the way home. reflect on how the season went then make plans next seasons preparations.

I like that saucer boy idea...
