Lots of hate on Spriggs. Sure, his styles not the same as Hornbeck's or Wallish's, but that doesn't mean anything. Is there anything wrong with having a different style? Spriggs has killed it since day one. Seeing him ski with SCV back in the day showed who he is. The guy is crazy talented and has a different style (very good at that) that you need to see in person to fully appreciate.

By the way, the comp is called King of Style, but in the end its just another big air comp. This means afterbanged cab 7's will probably not win, but a cab double cork could... especially if he gets a solid grab throughout it.
 
absolutely. there's nothing wrong with somebody calling you out on your style. and as a pro skier you should know (or in your case learn) that what trash-talking 15 year old kids say from behind their monitors in Ski Gabber isn't usually worth responding to, let alone arguing about. have some professionalism and just let it go.

and hell, you're pro they're not. what the fuck do they have to say anyway?
 
Haters need to shut the fuck up and recognize. Like someone else said,

Spriggs is one of the few skiers who kills it everywhere, from pilow

lines, booters, urban and most definitely in the park. He just throws

down whenever he clicks in and has worked hard to get where he is. It's

not easy being steezy when you are a a beast like him.

And if

you don't like his style, that's perfectly fine and nobody should hate

on you for having an opinion, but at least take the time to tell

everyone why not. Otherwise you look like an idiot and have no place critiquing someones skiing.

to John for calling the kid out. I have respect for someone who can

laugh in the face of haters and shrug it off. Not to name any names but

there are a few pros who are heavily hated on in the forums and could

easily turn that around with a single post.
 
I thought you quit the ski industry to move on to bigger and better things in fabulous L.A.

When are you going to quit hating on people who actually have a love and passion for the sport and get off these forums so that you can make some big bucks? Surprisingly most of the guys you and your crew hate on really couldn't give two shits what people think.

Pretty ironic considering the same can't be said about you guys.

i very rarely post, and be doing so i just did the same thing as you so its a battle you can never.

and spriggs does have wack style. deal with it.

I'm sorry you don't enjoy these forums, the staff and the mods do their best to ensure members are satisfied with the website and services we offer. That's what I'm doing on these forums, I'm paid to do multiple tasks, one of which is to moderate the forums. And guess what? I really love Newschoolers, the members, and yes, even the forums. We are a unique community website which offers something I don't think many other ski (or action sports in general) sites can provide.

Now that you know why I'm here, what are you doing are you reading these forums if you think they are so shitty?

 
You really have to first off consider that hes filming this at COC. I know its a sick park but lets face it its no Breck as far as how perfect jumps are. This guy is doing double flips that people have never seen before, he absolutely slays pow, and he has been in the industry since the beginning. Show some fucking respect.
 
Multiple people have done that double flip, it's just a switch double rodeo 10. Jon threw it as clean as it could be done. Spriggs' style isn't perfect, but being tall makes it nearly impossible, only Liam Downey can really pull it off, but he has to force it hard.

But 'getting paid'; is 4 grand really 'getting paid'? I am sure your parents are paying for more shit than the companies.

But what other places can you talk shit about a pro, then have them talk shit right back? Amazing.
 
there are lots of kids that throw sick dubs now, but its not just about throwin dubs its about having everything. Cosco, Dorey, wallish, andreas, pk jacob jon colby jossi sammy edollo ect....its getting big but there is more to the sport than dubs in the park, thats not the future, the future is the BC arena!

BigGnAl (spriggs).. getting hated on by kids on newschoolers comes with having a big name in the ski industry. dont let it get to your head, im sure you're proud with what you've accomplished in skiing so why give a fuck what random kids on the internet have to say
 
Its funny how all the people with any name in the industry give respect where respect is due and all the geeks that jack-of to NS hate on everybody, everything, and every skier that is above them. Just sayin.
