Spray Painting skis

So I have a pair of Head Bullets that are super fun to ski on, but have the absolute worst graphics I have ever seen. I was thinking about spray painting them but I don't really know how to go about doing this. What paint should I use and is there a waterproof sealant that I should put on?

I think you would be better off laying vinyl over the top sheet, but I'm pretty sure that'll cost more than spray paint.

i met a ski instructor one time who spray painted his skis black. could work. id recomend repainting every week tho or just cover those fuckers in stickers

I don't mean to be a dick, but I still don't think that would work.

Think about how much skis flex and the conditions they are ridden in. Paint isn't going to last long.

I still think vinyl is the best option. I'd head to a vinyl shop and see what they say.

p,s, I went to school for Auto Body, I know a thing or two about paint.

Cover them in stickers, any stickers! Painting them would look sweet for a few runs.. Then it would be done!

i spray painted my ninthwards and it came out real nice. first i sanded them very lightly, then sprayed a couple layers of gloss paint, then a couple layers of clear coat and it came out sick. they got scracthed up alittle but nothing too serious. ill get pics up tomorrow of em

Sand the topsheets with fine grit sandpaper then give them 3 very light coats of cheap black spray paint so you can still see the graphics coming through a little. I've done this to 3 pairs of skis and a snowboard now, it chips up a bit but looks nice and beat up.

to everyone saying it cant be done. ive seen it done on a few pairs...

just make sure you use paint that's meant for plastic. plati dip might work well.... look it up
