spotting landings

yeah, tried my first cork 3 a few days ago and they're actually a really easy trick to set but really tough to land... apparently i had the 3 down (so said my buddy i was skiing with), but i never saw the landing and stretched it to a 5 and kinda landed on my skis then bailed. every time i try corks this happens, so i was wondering what i should do with my head, or where i should be looking. i know the common response would be 'you idiot, just look for the landing' but when i'm corked out and sideways and shit, i get so disoriented i don't know where anything is... anyone care to pass on some advice?

what i do is just lower with my left shoulder down and turn my head to look at the tail of my skis your body goes corked and then you see your landing for most of the trick.
