So in on my high school diving team and I'm the only diver. I only joined to have something after school. Turns out I got pretty good at it. But this year I just don't want to dive. its not fun and im kind of scared to progress. So do I quit and let down my team or do I just finish out this season. If it helps first practice is today.
 
If you're on the diving team and you are the only diver, what team are you letting down by quitting?
 
The swim team. They hey points depending on how i do. I'm the only diver on the swim team. I should of made this clear
 
If you don't like it don't do it. Quiting mid season is kind of lame but do whatever.

Diving is awesome. Swimming sucks. My cork 9 hail hitler air was one of my favorite tricks. It was kind of hard to stay on axis for real dives though. And at first doing different rotations and ending up head first was kind of a mind fuck.
 
Tell them you don't want to do it and see if anyone makes a fuss. The person that cares the most can replace you.
 
Same thing happened with me and hockey, but if the season has already started you're going to need to tough it out, you cant let down the team, that is just a dick move...

 
Smoke up. Get jesus high. Jump into a fucking pool for a couple hours. I don't see how it's that bad. Also watching the swim team do hardcore workouts while you're doing flips into water. Being like shit, I'm glad I'm not them

Seriously though. You're getting high, and doing flips into a pool and they call that a sport
 
Whats so hard about it. I did it for a year. I didn't think it was that bad. Training at the start was a bitch but once we got into meets I don't remember having to do any ridiculous work outs. The swimmers still did but we pretty much just worked on dives.

403's were my favorite
 
id say stick with it unless it's really miserable, which you havent made it sound

1)if it's your best sport you'll regret not sticking with it

2)playing 3 sports in high school is sick/looks good/won't hurt your chances with the ladies etc etc
