What part of sponsorship is it that most of people here on NS dont get..?

you wont get sponsored just cuz you can make a 1080 when you are 10 years old? thats not what its about.. But still, thats really really sick! im 19 and still wishes to stomp them! hahaa

The thing about companies sponsoring different athletes is because they show the products good. It dosent matter how good they are, as long as they can rep a company and make others buy their stuff! thats exactly what its all about!

Im actually gonna claim now, and thats just to prove my theory!, me myself hate claimers, and im sure you will hate me now.. but dont get this wrong!

I'm sponsored by, Orage, Oakley, Armada, Steepsore, Kombi and Screlf. (claim claim, yeah i know)

I did not even send any videos and stuff when i was mailing some brands, but i told them why i would be able to make sure that people notice their stuff and goes to buy them!

If you want to have sponsors, or your brother, or anyone else here on NS, you have to get som recognition. And to get that, you have to trevel around a lot, make edits, thake photos and such.. not just stay in your local resort and shredd.. because everyone there knows you, and then the sponsors dont get what they pay for, if you know what i mean? they want to bee seen all over the country. not just on one hill..

its all about filming, taking photos, traveling around as much as possible. Be a nice guy with a great attitude and show the companies that you love what you do, and that you wants them to be sucsessfull and try to spread their name as much as you can.. thats prettymuch all there is to it! and yeah, comps.. try to compeate as much as possible, and get results! if they notice that you get podium places on every comp you participate in, then there is a big chans that you will get sponsored! pecause top 3 skiiers most often is really good skiers, and the good skiiers gets all of the attiention? right?

another tip is to start by mailing small unknown brands, they are the ones who needs to bee seen, and get noticed! if you just tell them why you would be able to make sure that everyone gets to know about them, and then buys their stuff. Im sure you will have a deal.. no doubt about that!

Its not hard to get sponsors.. you just have to know how to do.. and a loads of kids thinks that pulling a 1080 is what is neccesarey.. but what tricks you can do is not important!

I just busted my knee last season and now i can barley do sw 720s.. and still i got hooked by armada and oakley the other week.. so that pretty much proves that what tricks you can do, does not matter.. as long as you can represent ;)

I hope you guys dont get me wrong, im just trying to help you out! write me back if there is something you dident understand, or if you have som questions about it!

Im from sweden, so sorry if there is grammar and spelling misstakes, but, no one is perfect! aight? haha

hupefully you got something out of this book i just wrote..

Be a good guy! that is the most important!

good luck with the sposors

who the fuck is your brother???? because im pretty sure i don't see any 10 year olds throwing misties off the 3rd jump in LMP, and i ski at look every weekend

well, you sure cant only be sponsored for being good, but you do need a combination of recognition and talent, cause companies want to impress people with the guys reppin their shit

good enough for a local ski shop

but not yet for a major company

also depends what level of sponsorship you would like

send in a promo to all of the ski companys you can think of and see what happens

I agree with jepenater, im riding for line this winter for my first time and i broke my collar bone 3rd day skiing, and they just sent me some afterbangs. Even though i couldent ski for two weeks and i cant ski well for the past 3 weeks. Its not about what 'tricks" you do. its about what kind of skier you are and how much you can get your product out there. go in lots of comps, make a sick promo and a decent resume like your interviewing for a job. Then at the end of the year send your shit to a rep at a company you really like.

ya all these kid are right i can do 9s and 7s and tons of flips but i do not ride for a sick sponsor because i dont that much out side of vt. although i do ski at the windells camp but it not like sponsors look for you there just because everyones sick at skiing there.
