Spongebob and the Odyssey

Just realized the Spongebob movie is was based off of the book The Odyssey. I know I am not the first one ever to realize this, but I discovered this by myself, which I am very pumped about. I don't no how many of you guys have read The Odyssey or seen the spongebob movie, but there are a few clear relations between both of them. Just wanted to throw this out there and see what you guys think or have to say. And are there any other movies and books that are based off of one another?
