Split your Tline spring pass with me

Hey y'all,

I am trying to save as much money as possible and be as much of a cheap ass as possible...

Anyone planning on going to timberline either before May 7th or after May 25th (I will be skiing the 7thish-25thish) that wants to split a spring pass with me?

Otherwise hmu for laps if you'll be out there anytime from the 7th-25th

FYI Timberline doesn't have those computer RFID things they have actual people that look at your pass and scan it with a supermarket scanner and they actually talk to the guests and try to learn their names etc. I for sure would not risk trying to share a Timberline pass. Price per day is only about $13 if you ski every day from the 7th to the 25th so you can probably make that up in savings on other expenses like beverages

Yeah as far as trying to save money this is probably a bit overkill i'm just butthurt at the $70 price increase tbh

I will say it wouldn't be the first time tho as far as splitting passes goes

I mean the price increase sucks but it's not that bad in general. Hasn't really gone up much in a long time. The bang for the buck is pretty big. If you're making a trip out of it get your days in.

Hell i had to pay 40 to ride there the other day because it was spring bream and allegedly peak and my comps wouldnt work, and i work at the place in the summer. Still was great.

Whsts spring pass like 220 230?

Pretty easy to get value out of that in a week. If you go even 2 weeks and ride 5 days a week thats a pretty damn good deal, not even including the fact that there isn't much else open in the country and the parks are in the best shape in the spring generally.

Idk, do whatever but compared to the summer pass the price is pretty reasonable imo.

I understand the price hike and also understand why people are bummed about it, when i was 18 I wouldn't want to spend an extra $70 either.

For sure. Just hasn't really gone up much in forever. Was always kind of like, wow thats really friggin cheap. Now it a little less cheap but still a screaming deal.

Always sucks spending 200 when youre young. But idk, the day price ends up being pretty damn reasonable in a short period of time. The ability to camp all over, car camp in town. Can really keep the price of everything fown. Gas getting to hood is more a factor for most people than the price increase.

Sparknotes, i get it. It sucks paying more always, especially when you're young. It was a big hike at once. But it's super reasonable still. I'm gonna head back down next week for a few laps i think.

Might try and start back up working before the spring parks close too. We go through the 1st at Crystal and i have some shit to do here. But might send it mid to late may.

22 but you know, life decisions haven't made me rich

as far all of the responses, thanks for input.

Lived in Portland for 3 years and skied Hood every winter.

Price was $150 for spring pass back when i first moved out, now it's $239. Still a killer deal I'm just trying to cut costs in every way including flying out and borrowing a car because gas from MN to OR would be like 1K without splitting. My van gets a solid 12mpg.

Not gonna be that surprised if no one wants to split a pass, was just throwing it out there

yea 18 was just a random age, I was in that boat into my late 20s so i feel you man.

Could sell off some stuff or pick up random side jobs/offer neighbors or whatever to do stuff and you’d rack up enough for the pass in a week or 2

This. You could make up the difference if you sold like a few hoodies or some shit. Not even.
