SPK kreation 09 / 10 shinbang issues?

i didnt, probably just a boot that doesnt fit you right, because shinbang can be avoided in pretty much every boot if it fits you properly.

Hes right. And dont get a boot cause its cheap, get the boot thats right for you. The most money of your setup should be put into your boots. They are more important than your skis dont overlook them

they should put this as a permanent banner on the top on gear talk
SHIN BANG IS CAUSED BY POOR/INACCURATE BOOT SIZING AND NOT WEARING THEM TIGHLY.

yeah eric, dont buy boots that are cheap or that other people have had success with. you gotta try the boots on for yourself and make sure they fit.

here's a general list of the main causes of shinbang (in no particular order):

-no footbed

-boot is wrong size (usually too big than too small)

-continually landing backseat

-having a gap between the tongue of the boot and your shin, either because you have chicken legs or simply because the tongue just doesn't match up to your leg

-boots that are too soft for you

-boots that are too stiff for you

-boots that are too low on your leg

so, if you do the opposite of what I just wrote, shinbang is most likely not going to happen to you.

too short on your leg? asian allen cuts the tops off his boots to make them shorter. i guess that would make sense.

there's always going to be a subjective aspect of something out of the ordinary working for someone, but generally speaking the lower your cuff is, the less support the boot gives, and the more stress that is put on your leg.

think of it this way too... let's say your tongue comes up super high on your leg with only a bit of your shin sticking out the top. Because the top of the boot almost the same height as your shin, your shin can't really flex over the tongue. If your tongue were too low on your leg, your leg would have more potential to flex over the the tongue because it isn't supported as well. That would be rather painful.

lies, i wore my boots super tight and they fit perfect and i have horrible shinbang. landing backseat is my main cause but your logic is wrong, it may help but is not the cause,
