Spk 85 and 90

i was wondering if there is any major difference between the two, other than the flex. i have tried on the 85 and they fit great. evo has the 90 for 289 and the 85 for only 180. wondering why that is.

+k for help

They are completely different. The 85 is basically a Jr boot. It does not have the heat mold liner, the goo toe, the gel heel cushioning or the soft spoiler. Really there is no comparison get the 90 every time over the 85.

waitttt. unless you've tried them on and love them, dont get them. I have them and so does my friend and I hate them. The draw string tounge flexs in a weird way and gets ya right on the in step of your foot. just my experience with the boots

Obviously try them on, but to the poster above just because you got a boot that does not fit, does not mean its a bad boot. I have been using the SPK since its inception and personally, I think its the best park boot available. I personally use a foam injection liner in them which means its not the standard fit, but the features of the shell are better then pretty much any other park boot. So if the boot fits or your willing to make it fit then its a great boot.

i had only tried on the 85 and i really liked them, is there a shell diference that would be different from the 85?

The shell its self is the same, but it will fit differently as the liner is different and the cushioning under the heel is alot thinner in the 85.

Defiantly dont get them online, go get fitted up and dont be restricted to just the SPK. If the fitter thinks a different boot will be better get that instead.

ok, i figured i would go try it on. ill have to do that next week. but is there a diference between the durablity in the boot?

There is actually yes. The 85 and 75 use a slightly different buckle system over the instep. We did have a couple of pairs where the rivots popped out on the 85 on the bottom buckle, however I have never seen it happen on the real SPK boots.

As I said I really would not recommend looking below the 90.
