So I headed up to spirit today and it was packed, so when I came down on the Four Pipe side of the lift, I kept on going to the other side. Normally, I would cut under the rope because there is no one in line on the other side, but I saw a liftie watching me intently, so I went around the ropes. Some snowboarders who had followed me around didn't see him and cut under, and the guy started yelling at them and said "I'll let you go this time" like he was doing them a big favor by not pulling his pass. What I don't understand is why they are so concerned with us cutting under ropes. It's not like we're cutting in line. Maybe they should design it differently so there aren't a ton of people on one side and none on the other.
