Spinning switch help

So every time i try and spin from switch i get a 180 or 360 then just stop, i don't know if i'm trying to spin to early or what, any help is appreciated

what i do is try and get super comfy looking over my shoulder so that as i ski in i can see everything. from there i treat it as if its a normal forward spin. be patient for the pop and don't force it. make sure you keep looking round. If your only getting 180 or 360 chances are your looking at the landing the whole time instead of letting your head lead the spin.

When I spin a switch 3 I take off looking over my left shoulder and land looking over my right to help spot the landing.

I sometimes get this issue, most of the time its because i try and rotate and pop too early. I guess plenty of practice helps too!

Be patient for the pop, and be patient for the rotation, that is what is most important.

most peoples first switch spins are cattwists which means your body moves but your head doesnt. Make sure you keep your vision over your shoulder the way you are spinning and your chest open

Widen your stance on the takeoff

Set with your right arm (if you are spinning left)

Glue your chin to your shoulder

Keep your head turned...I mean really turned. Glue your chin to your shoulder and leave it there till you land. Also (although it sounds weird) make sure you set your spin with your right shoulder (assuming you are spinning left). I spin left so I go into jumps switch looking over my left shoulder. When I was learning switch spins, I had a tendency to try and lead the spin by kinda throwing my left arm back behind me and I could never get past a 3. When I started thinking about setting it by bringing my right arm across my chest and around my body, 5's came super easy.
