Spinning down the pipe VS Ally oop

I am far more comfortable spinning back toward the pipe (ally oop) Is this common? Most places don't even have pipes anymore but hypothetically if you skied into the pipe which way do you tend to spin? Is this normal? spinning down the pipe throws me off balance and is way harder to land

Down the pipe. If I set it up for an alley oop, sometimes I pop out of the pipe a bit more than I’m comfortable with. You can open up a little and scrub some speed at the top if you’re spinning downhill

Alley oop is a cool one to throw in but its nice to bw able to sping even small spins down the pipe. Early days of pipe skiing a lot of people would straight air or 5 on one wall then alley oop on other whole way down

There is a small natural "pipe" where I ski and am an hours drive from an actual pipe.

I have only tried tried spinning downwards. I can only do the one direction because the natural one is on the left side of the run.

The last time I was in the real pipe it was late season chunky refrozen pure ice. The combination of dull Vishnus and no skill level made for a not fun time so I didn't try spinning in that one.

50/50 cause my left spins are dogshit. But I still prefer alley oop. DtP I would be scared doin a "3", ally-oop "3" feels solid.

Same like when rollerblading bowls, going counterclockwise I always feel like I'm about to die. This is why I will forever be a casual and why I gotta focus on style. I'm too old where if I eat shit I'm kinda fucked and I didn't push myself when young enough to learn these unaturals.
