Spinning both ways

same here, even though i can only do unnatty 3's one like 20 foot jumps, its way slower and a lil smoother than spinnin natural, but it feels akward as hell. i think unatty is really just a mental block though.

It definately is a mental thing. Spinning big unnatural is hard though. When I'm doin some poppy pow runs and stuff I'll find myself cleaning unnatural 1's and 3's without even thinking about it. But then when I do it on purpose I freak a little and get sketchy. And spinning unnatural is much easier when going switch. I find I have less tendency to unwantedly go cork if I spin unnatural while going switch.

my natrual is to the right. my unnatrual is to the left. i can unnatrual 180 forward and i can switch unnatrual 180 too. i am trying to learn unnatrual 360's forward and switch.

Umm idk if u have ever tried kicking a soccer ball ever in your life, but kicking with ur left foot just as good as your right is very hard.

From playing soccer and skiing i think spinning unnatty is easier (to learn) than trying to do something with your left foot. Try putting a target somewhere on a wall and step like 20 feet back and try hitting it by kicking right foot than your left foot. If your even able to hit the target with your right foot you will see that trying to hit it with your left is almost impossible (without practice...).

To say that kicking a soccer ball with your left foot or even your right foot is easier because your not using as many muscles is an inaccurate comparison. When you need to place that ball at exactly the foot of your teammate who could be 40-50 yards away is very hard and challenging.

Now I am not saying spinning unatty is easy, its def very challenging and to spin unatty 9's 10's is very very impressive. But saying the OP's analogy to soccer is poor isn't right. Thats atleast what i think...

Long winded argument that didn't need to be made.

i've played soccer, and base my claim from experiance, it is easeir to strengthen your weak side in soccer than it is to in skiing.

you have to practice both ways, it'd be equally impossible to kick a target with your right foot as if you've never practiced with your right foot, Practice is an obvious requirement for everything you do.

what measures difficulty in soccer:

foot-eye coordination

foot placement

maybe hip location

In skiing you have to be able to

judge speed and distance calculations- (speed checking)

propper foot possition

proper hip possition

proper shoulder possition

proper arm possition

you need to judge how much jump to put in to what direction

-adjust in air if needed

what is harder to do, kick a soccer ball or ski a mountain boil it down to basics or put it to it's most extreem, you want to say it harder to hit the goal post consecutivly than it is to jump off a helicopter in Alaska... your argument dosen't really hold water

I don't agree with the analogy either, however there are more than that to kicking a ball with power in soccer. Hip location is key, opposite foot placement, upper body movement, knee flexion for both legs, etc. Foot rotation. and more

lol wow most pointless argument ever.

spinning unnatty exists.

if you can do it, more power to you.

the only thing i can agree with the left foot right foot soccer comparison is that, if u consider yourself good, u should be able to throw spins both ways. soccer players have to because they are at a level in which kicking with both feet is required, u wouldn't make it unless both feet were essentially the same, which is where i think skiing should be/ going to be,

still i fail to see how all these minute detalis add up to a socker kick being MORE complex than doing a jump on skis

i mean we can break down a ski jump to just as a minute a detail, and you'll find that you have a lot more body movement to control.
