Spherical Goggles

I have been looking at both the eg1 and eg1s goggles on dogfunk and I noticed that the eg1s is spherical. For people who use the eg1s or other spherical goggles (phenoms, soldiers) is the benefit substantially better or would I be just as good off buying the eg1?

What you see is less distorted. Light doesn't pass through cylindrical goggles perfectly and becomes a little distorted before it enters your eye, though you'll probably never notice it. Spherical goggles help alleviate this. All of that aside, spherical goggles tend to be at the higher end of most companies' lines. They'll have nicer foam, usually triple-density, and fit your face better.

I've got an older pair of smith spherical goggles they're real sweet, aside from the distortion factor (probably not actually that big a deal) you get more peripheral vision out of them which is nice
