Southern VT this weekend

Hey guys,

I'm from Connecticut and itching to hit the mountain. I am considering making a day trip this weekend to one of the southern VT mountains. Any recommendations for where I should go based on open trails, conditions? Stratton, Mount Snow, etc. Or is it worth the extra drive to hit up Okemo or Killington.

Stratton is AWFUL right now. Its quite boring after about 2 hours on the 2 runs they have open. Maybe 1 more for this weekend but its so warm out. They claim 9 but its literally 2 and one long crappy side trail to get to the bottom.

Mt snow is probably your best bet if you want to mess around on rails and what not. Easily the best park in S VT now. Idk how the runs are there right now though

Killingtons pretty nice right now, I went up last weekend and it was definitely worth it. Ive heard goods things about Mt snow as well.

pretty much nailed it about stratton right now. They are not even trying right now. They are focusing on their grand opening of the new lodge and trying to get bunny trails open by xmas at this point. Granted the weather doesnt help but they definitely catered to families with what they decided to blow snow on.. village walk? really? and the 3 rails and boxes are setup ok but super crowded with park rats. its honestly not worth your time to drive up this weekend.. id go golfing in CT if i were you.. winter just isnt ready yet
