South Lake Tahoe housing

Yo. Me and a homie got freestyle instructor jobs at Kirkwood this coming winter, and are trying to find cheap temporary housing in the South Lake Tahoe/Meyers area. We would be fine getting a 1 bedroom place if necessary, we just need to eat sleep and shit there... any suggestions? I posted in the CA regionals like two months ago and didn't get any replies, otherwise I wouldn't post this in here.

Kirkwood is 40mins from SLT and Carson pass shuts down during storms a lot.

That said... nothing beats craigslist. A certain member will tell you rent a casino room, FYI.

Yah what kind of cars do you guys have? It's definitely not gonna be an easy commute if we have a decent winter. Housing in south lake is generally alot cheaper than in north lake so that's one positive. Definitely look into craigslist, some places are a pain in the ass and want you to come actually come see the room/unit before they let you put money down. I know a kid that lives in south lake and he basically lives in a cheap ass motel room. There are tons of cheap ass motels like that all over the place.

I drive a subie, not sure what my buddy is driving currently

No employee housing?

They said most of it gets allocated to other departments at the mountain

So the guy that used to run Kirkwoods employee housing transferred to northstar last year and worked for me, then transferred back to Kirkwood at the end of the season so he's there now. Not sure if he's doing employee housing again but I can give him a shout to see what the deal is.

That would be rad! thanks man

bump. heading out in a bit over a month and haven't figured out housing yet. We have a place to stay for the first few weeks, hoping housing will be easier to figure out once we're there
