Flying to queenstown this week. Getting away from Ruapehu to ski something new.

Havent decided where we're going to ski yet, but out of say, Remarkables, Treble Cone, Cardrona or Coronet, which ones would you folks say are the best? I'm sick of getting mixed bullshit from clients and collegues...

I don't care about park, and would rather have long, sustained steep gnarly runs to rip down. suggest 2 or 3 for me.

Thanks NS, u da real hero.

Ruapehu is an awesome mountain as far as big mtn skiing goes. Down south, I think Remarkables comes close. Personally, I'd stay north and only go to Cardrona for park.

Coronet and Cardrona are pretty flat. Best steep stuff in southern lakes would be TC then Remarks. Both have been getting pretty puked on lately (by NZ conditions) and have nice bases. Treble Cones facebook page has a bunch of edits from early season that will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Go to treble cone or drive nth to ohau for a pow day.. You will thank me..

Ohau is too far out of the way for this trip, and it's not supposed to be powder. Duly noted for our next trip.

Go to Treble Cone, it has some of the best terrain in the Queenstown/Wanaka area. Only go to Cardrona for the pipe and park.

If you just want good terrain TC is your best bet in the Queenstown/ Wanaka area. However, I would really suggest a trip to the clubbies if you had a bit more time.
