Sorry about another camera thread

Ok so I’m stumped again. Here’s my needs. Must film HD 1080p preferred to 1080i. Has to have an eye price I can use with my left eye or a large enough/hood enough LCD screen, a zoom with either ring or rocker, record to SD Cards, along with the ability to adjust things like exposure, white balance, gain, etc. I’m open to DSLRs but would prefer camcorders. I have been looking at the Panasonic Ag ac130, ac160, ac90 and also the HMC150. I have also looked at the Canon Vixia HF G20 & 40 along with the AX10&11. Budget of about 500 but willing to go over (too 700 if needed) for something that has low operating hours and works for me and my visual impairments. Also would prefer low operating hours but kinda hard to find. Sorry about another one of these but I’ve been tryna find something that works for me and also my parents approve of since they’re vv concerned with me wanting to spend this much on a camera. But yeah just shout out other options. Also I’d be using it for long lens shots, follow cams, moving shots but not necessarily a follow cam, and to film skiing and skating and some biking. Doesn’t have to take photos cause I can just borrow my moms DSLR or use my Fm2

If you can borrow your mom's DSLR just use that for filming and save your money.

Otherwise, Panasonic GH3 and an adapter for Nikon lenses. Get some old Nikon glass (it is affordable) and boom, magic shots.

Do you know what 1080i even means?

You want 1080p

Get an hmc150, if it costs more than 700 than save up brotha.

Yes 1080i is 1080 interlaced it has to do with how the thing is loaded like it’s half frames or something and pretty much was only used for TV shows. 1080p is progressive so it’s like loaded in full frames not half which is why it looks better and you tend to not get kinda frozen or laggy videos

Used HMC150s are more than a new AC30 or a used UX90

EDIT: i think i just misread, you said you'd prefer 1080p.

I don't keep an eye on cameras/prices these days but you'll want at least 720p60 and 1080p30, but 1080p60 would be ideal.

I am posting here to avoid making another camera thread, but ive been thinking about trying to film with a vx700 for skiing next season. Has anyone tried anything similar and any tips? Looking for a low cost camera with a dynamic zoom (ive only filmed with slr and gopro really)
