Most new twins have much harder base materials. I suggest you buy the TM, it has the best base. Also, keep ur shit waxed.

the old pow air grinds they have extra ptex outside the edge so that it won't hurt the skis

my face looks like your dogs ass...

the lineweapons had something like that... i would like to see someone do that with skis

whos in da house, SACA is in the house!!! hahahahmuhahahah

the weapons have a sweet little super hard grind plate thingy and the edge is missing too and it even has a lil notch in it. i actually bought a pair for my backyard rail so i can slide and slide and slide without wreckin my good pair of skiis. somehow i dont think that your egde grip would be all that good though if you took a piece of your edge out and replaced it with super hard plastic. icy would spell death for you my friends.

im telling you guys not waxing period will make you base harder than waxing wit the hardest wax you can find

but if you feel compelled to wax, yes use blue, or the coldst wax you can find, and just by the cheap shit, you don need florocarbon for jib skis

i know all of this b/c i am a ski tech, and certified by head tyrolia, but you don hafta listen to me

i hot wax mine everyday before skiing are you saying this might be bad?

whos in da house, SACA is in the house!!! hahahahmuhahahah

the myth that waxing your skis makes your bases softer is bullshit. Park skis made in the past few years are so hard, the wax can barely soak in at all. This is why park skis are not as fast as other skis in wax tests. Using a cold weather wax will help because they solidify better, filling the pores with a more solid, longer lasting element.

If you like to slide rails, then slide rails. Your bases will take some abuse, but keep them waxed and flat, fix gauges if you get any, and generally take care of your gear. The average park ski is designed to last for 1 season of tough park abuse. That's just a fact. They will last 2 seasons if you take care of them right.

If you dont wax like an earlier post said, your base will dry out, flake off, and get eaten to shit. Your pores will open up allowing moisture and dirt to get into the ski's base and could lead to moisture soaking into the ski's core. This is no bueno and will destroy your skis.

For more info on waxing, and to buy high quality wax for cheap, go to Purl Racing and read up a bit on waxing, and what the tiny ice crystals we call snow actually do to a ski base.

questions?-Msg me

OOOOOOO! you are certified by tyrolia! wow! so am I and hundereds of others on this site. Doesn't mean you know shit. It is way too easy to get certified, anyone can do it.

Listen to spinks, he is right, and has his head screwed on straight.

Never try to mix cool-aid with a wisk, it just doesn't work.

i dont know about having my head screwed on right, that's debatable...

I meant your head is screwed on straight when it comes to this subject, or so it seems.

I'd just like to say that no matter what you do, when you're on rails alot, you've gotta expect something to happen to your skis. my best advice would be to just swap skis on either feet so that you kind of even out the destruction.

^^^^ agrees.. i did the same thing until the end of the season where it was too late and plus their lines.. so their always put to dead before even drilled haha

i know theres going to be wear but its doesnt matter cause im getting new skis soon im just saying that the petex should be INDUSTRUCATABLE!

--Dirty Steeze--

how would replacing part of your edge with plastic be any worse than not having the edge there at all?

'Heath Ordway Gets Head, Do You' - Head Skis Ad

spinks is right, bases have become harder and harder on park skis, to get wax to soak in you need a hot ass iron, and as for not waxing you skis, thats stupid, im a ski tech and am certified by everyone,, its not hard at all if you work in a shop, just wax your skis like regular and slide your rails like regular, skis break on rails get use to it

I certainly agree with spinks that a park ski really only lives one season. Hell, this past season I went through 2 pairs. This year I'm gonna have a seperate pair for all around park stuff, than one for pipe. Want some of my skis to make it to next season at least.

hahaha,

yeah.
