Well it's not. I think it looks a bit like the Aaton cinema cameras in terms of shape along with the integration of a handle.

Also, Sony has made it clear that it won't be replacing the FS700, it's an entirely new camera that will have its own descendants. I think it looks fantastic, the footage they shot with it looks amazing, and internal 4K is huge. I do wish they put a better monitor on it, as that tiny one won't be good for anything unless you have the eyepiece on. For dolly shots and such I don't see it being very useful. Cinema5D did a hands-on look with it, and the form factor was what really stood out to me.

In many working settings, having a built-in monitor is stupid because you're going to attach a dedicated external one anyway. No point in being stuck with a sub-par monitor that you can't get rid of.

Like seriously, wtf is going on is the world ending or something? Sony is going ham on the video market.

Wow this could really be something special. Exactly what we've been waiting for. I'm actually stoked on the doc style form factor. Looking forward to more hands on reviews. May be upgrading to this in the near future… Although I wish it was maybe PL...

Same here. Pretty pumped for what sony is doing these days in the video department. Maybe an upgrade for me as well in the near future

The Cion looks great too but the size and weight makes it more of a full production camera. Not really a run and gun documentary camera like the fs7. The Cion is around the same size and weight as the Alexa. If you have filmed on Alexa you know it's not really a one man crew type of camera. Both cameras look amazing though and I can't wait it test out both when they are available. I would pick the FS7 for skiing and action shoots. Cion looks better for narrative and larger crew productions.

This is insanity. I am glad one brand is not afraid to one up themselves (cough...Canon).

Careful buddy, the C200 is gonna come out relatively soon and it will not disappoint, I'm sure. If it doesn't include internal 4k recording, then I will be surprised.

If the c200 had 1080p 60 with the c300 codec it would be the most ideal camera. Although cannon is lacking in features man do they have the image and color science down. All they need is 1080 60 true 1080 60. I am excited to see what the c200 offers.

My prediction is that Canon will release an update for the C300 that allows 4K recording, and then put it into the C200 respectively. That way there wouldn't be an imbalance. I do agree about having image on lock too, I got to shoot with a C100 over the summer and it was a really, really nice picture to work with even though it's an older camera compared with some other offerings (sony, panasonic, blackmagic)
