Sony DCR-DVD610 DVD handy cam?

dvd handycams are a pain...I had two, before i started shooting professionally, they're ok...i shot the 05 orage masters on one...one problem is cold...when its really cold, they dont perform as well as DV when it's cold out...another problem is just quality in general, you're not gonna get good quality, and in an HD world, it's best to upgrade to HD....I would suggest going HDV, until cheaper cameras with solid state hard drives come out...for now, check out the HDR-HC3, its a solid little cam, and you can find them for 400$ to about 800$
