How do you guys handle song choices between skiers and filmmakers? I imagine there can be problems there depending on the length / number of songs.

Like, a skier might want their part to be to a certain song whereas the person who filmed / edited would choose another. I feel like it depends on how high-budget the editing is. But I would respect what the skier wants if they have a certain song in mind for a video.
