Something to Keep an Eye out for... RMU

The last few weeks I've met the guys starting this up and have become pretty good friends with them. Last week we tested a few pairs of park skis and they seem really sick. The flex and pop of a STL with the sidecut that reminds me of a Salomon Foil. So far I've beaten up a pair pretty good with no edge cracks or blow outs. All the skis are handmade in Summit County, and they can do 1-off prototypes too. I'll be helping these guys test throughout the whole season, they don't plan to mass produce/sell skis until 2009/10 season.

There are a ton of upstarting ski companies, and only the best survive. RMU only sold 200 skis last year so hopefully their sales pic up. I know that a lot of Professors have been sitting on walls for a while in my local shops, fingers crossed for those guys.

i think they just need to drop their prices a bit then they'd make some more sales

I was thinking about buying a pair of Diams next year... They are a little too pricey though in my oppinion.
