when u go to the website and click scratch it says 'follow the leaders', is it just me or do they have any idea what the fuck they are doing?

Henrik Winstedt is still on their team, they also have Kye Peterson. Rossignol sells their carving skis based on name, usually people who buy twin tips will buy from whatever company their friend or some guy on Newschoolers told them to buy from cause they're all fucking trend whores.

ive always hated rossi... must be in my blood or something... its all about k2 and salomon... and im sure armada and 4frnt are tight but i dont know much about em.

 
i noticed in the latest issue of freeze that rossi have also signed kristi leskinen... anyways, if your weren't into brand recognition, then you wouldn't be too quick to judge an entire ski company as crap. personally, if i ride the ski and i like it, that's the most important thing. so, have you tried all the skis in rossignols lineup??? i think thats the only real benchmark... that goes for any company though...

I wish I could ski ALL the time in winter - instead of just most of the time...
 
what i notice about rossi is most of the picture where the ski are snaped in half are ALWAYS the scratch fs.

but they had to send either the bc or the fs (one or the other) because both replaced the pow air and the pow air was supposed to be a slightly more all round ski...

they have alot of younguns on their team. their giggest name for comps is henrick. but they have some sick up an commers like henrick and rory bushfeild and jon mcmurray and kye and chris biollo and rinfret and more. i think that is cool about their team

 
and even raps and philio porier,and kristi leskinen but i would still buy there skis if they didnt even have a team..its not like tanner,boyd and reginer left cause they didnt like the skis.

what other shots have you seen with broken scratch FS?? i only seen henrik in that one shot and thats all. personally i think rossi is an awsome company and treats there customers with awsome service... if you like the ski thats what is important

hey man, my rossi bandits are doing just fine, I happen to like them. maybe scratches suck, but bandits are kick ass.

ok enough shit talking... i know this is a site that mainly deals newschool. but just so everybody is clear... rossi has hands down the best big mountain team in the biz. also several sick young riders... kye,austin,spencer all like 14 and under and all are sick... also the vets, philou, and raps(even though hes washed up) and then henrick who kills the video segs. kristi, holding down the women

the team is just kinda in a transition with the lost of tanner boyd and julien, but it will be back,

also i think that steve said it, people are trend whores, just cause tanner dosent ride rossi anymore dosent mean the skis are any worse

 
^yeah no shit. they may not have tanner, boyd, or julien anymore but they still have a kickass team too. and for anyone who hasn't ridden the scratches shut the fuck up. i rode them all last season and they were awesome. they delamed a tiny bit and got some stress cracks and rossi warrantied them no questions asked. and i'm not talking about a 1080 delam where the whole ski is fucked..i'm talking just enough so you can claim they are starting to delam

Lets see, Oakden, Sage, Kristi, Bode, Kreitler, Moles, Evan, Peterson, etc...If you think there team suck your a dumb ass and if you think their skis suck...your even more of a dumb ass! Rossi makes great skis if you have a problem with that go buy something else to pose with.

 
i rode scratches, i broke them, then broke them again...i hate them, never goin back

and to me, i really don't like their team, i don't care what you tell me about kye and how he's young and shit, he's my brother's age, and my brother is so much better than him...and my brother doesn't get recognized or anything

There team is sick, i have scratch bc's sickest ski ever, but as i said, they dont seem to care enough about our sport, thats why tanner, boyd, and julien left.

has anyone had problems with taking chunks outta the topsheet of theri scratches? i got huge chunks of the black ripped off around the tails and right behind the binding from banging my skis together. i juust used epoxy to fill it so the dont risk have water damage but it still sucks. u think i can warranty them?

Tanner and Boyd didnt leave Rossy because the hated the skis and company, they left because the Armada startup crew wanted them on board and that isnt something you pass up. Tanner said he had an excellent time with Rossy, that they supported him and the freeski team and movement very well. Dumbasses, the scratch was groundbreaking for its time last year. Rossy is a tight company who supports up and coming riders but dont forget it is a company! They are doing the best they can while keeping in mind they have a business to run. Not many companies push the sport and progress it like rossignal so you should maybe not talk trash like that. Also, not matter what website you saw that on Petek, you would've come on here and been like 'Leaders? hehe yeah right' admit it man, be it Vokl or Salomon or Dynastar or whatever you've come on here and bitched because there really is too much bitching on this site. The day that someone says Rossi isnt helping the sport of newschool is a ridiculous day indeed. Why do you think Philou joined them? You know he was getting offers from every company out there and he spent almost a year searching for a company that he respected and wanted to rep. He chose Rossi. I am not saying they are the end all be all, i personally dont like the way the scratch rides, but i think you shouldnt trash talk their company. done

i think its the other way around, scratch came first, but ive heard they are different

they are a fuckload different. Rossi scratch has a thc core, while ar5 has a wood core. Rossi has a rubber grindplate, ar5 does not. Sizes are different, and so are the footprints. There is almost no similarity to those skis whatsoever. The scratch fs is known to be a softer ski with dampening, ar5 is a stiffer ski.

i dont get why everyone is posting about who's on which team, personaly i dont give a fuck, i ride the skis i want, not cuz some pro gets paid ti sat 'hey ride these skis' just my 2 cents

You need to look at this from a bussiness standpoint. because in the end thats all that matters to these bigger companies. First off Rossi scratch fs is a great ski, well made and a great ride, but because rossi is such a big company a lot of the freesking community was overlooked by them because its a smaller division and their main concern is there race division. The reason tanner left rossi was not because he hated the skis but because armada came along and could offer him more personal attention with they skis and the progression because armada is a newschool skier owned comany not a billion dollar company like rossi. that is the reason he switched, he has his name known worldwide in the freeskier comunity and by supporting armada he is helping the new smaller newschool comapnies get off their feet and make a name for themselves. so dont say rossi sucks, they are doing a great job with what they can for the money that our sport provides

I agree 100%, rossi is awsome, and Tanner Hall was just an Extra Perk for them. I'll tell you one thing tho, their site operators are lazy ass, because that site has been the same allllll year.
