okay, so maybe i'm just old and I dont get these new-fangled things kids are saying today... but i just dont understand how kids (meaning people in the age range of 14 +/- a year or so) type... example from a blog i found and laughed my ass off at: (http://spaces.msn.com/members/tofubox/)

ok im gonna write something bout myself.. well bak in hk.. lyk 5-6 years ago.. lol.. yeh newaiz.. i used 2 be a brownie!!.. noe wat dat ish?? lyk girl/boy scouts.. there, that was by some 14 year old girl... Now, can somebody please explain to me how it's easier to write like that then just to use proper words? It took me like, 15 min to read one of her posts... and I read fast.

I think it's just an independance thing...

Everybody knows that kids that age like to defy their parents, teachers and any superiors. How many times would you listen to loud music at home that your parents didn't like? Or wore clothes your parents didn't like? Or made the wrong friend? Or typed like a total dimwit?? It's probably just another way to feel different than your elders...

i thought lax was lacrosse. anyways...

why cant people type correctly. i understand not capitalizing 'I' and words beginning a sentence, and not using ''' for a contraction, but typing with 3's instead of 'E's is retarded. using weird symbols to make up letters isnt cool.
