so im ethernet connected, download speed of between 90 and 92 mbs (did the speedtest 5 times) and upload speed between 45 and 47 mbs. Internet browsing is super fast, almost instant.

Torrenting with 15 seeders, but my download speed is FUCKING 300 kbs tops WTF???

I wouldn't usually complain, cos im normally wifi connected and never above 20mbs cos im quite far from the rooter, but seriously wtf, 90 fucking mbs for 200kbs that is just not right. Tried restarting rooter, computer, retorrented from scratch....nothing

why the hell, please?
 
Is uTorrent reporting 15 seeders or was it the website that you got the torrent from say 15 seeders?

Sometimes websites don't update the seed counter and so you may be only downloading from one or two seeders. How many leechers are there? If there are hundreds of leechers but only 15 seeds then yeah you are going to be slow.

Also torrenting is peer to peer so you don't have the reliability of a dedicated server that is hosting the content, you have to rely on other people who may limit there upload speed which will result in slow speed.

It's saying 17 seeders (utorrent not website) didn't have a lot of leechers closed the pages doe so dunno

fair enough but still, i was getting better download speed over wifi 40m away....wtf

You ruined the post count of 1234...

also try getting greedy torrent. Might be that it's not uploading fast enough to give you the good speeds. I know when I had really good internet I had to get Greedy torrent. Just make sure you don't turn it up too high or people will know you're masking your upload speeds.

That's a pretty big file for not a lot seeders, I'm not surprised. Check their upload speeds.
 
OP chances are the seeders have poor connections or are seeding other files. just be patient mang.

what's the torrent in question? I can start it up on my machine and see what I get.
