Somedays I really miss racing.

fact about racers:

they never go besides the slopes to destroy fresh powder.

so im cool with them.

I love breaking out my race skis once and a while. GS skis are so dam fast. Just cant find that type of control and edge grip on hardpack on twintips.

i doubt i would have enjoyed doing race leagues and stuff when i was younger for all the same reasons i fell in love with freeskiing, but i have nothing but respect for the hard core racers and know their skills are unreal. and if i had money i would pick up a pair of GS skis to rip on groomers in a heartbeat cause i can definitely appreciate a good mach 5 turn

I raced for the first time this summer and it was really fun. It also helped me brush up on my technique.

If you guys want a pair of race skis, Ebay is waiting for you.

Racing definitely taught me how to ski and sometimes I miss hitting gates. It was a pretty decent stress reliever but, I wouldn't want to go back to competing or being forced to train in negative temperatures.

Racing taught me so much fundamentally but the only thing I miss about it is getting baked and goofing off with my buddies

The last few years I've signed up for a beer league team with my brother and dad during my winter breaks, and it has reminded me how cool it feels to let it fly on GS skis. I don't necessarily miss the coaches and the suits, but being able to carve like that brings so much more energy to the sport.

I probably would miss racing if I still lived in the Midwest, hell I'd probably still race, but out West racing rarely even crosses my mind.
