You guys just have to know what you're doing, you have to be able to feel the speed for a jump, not just know where you should drop from.
Although, you guys that were up there that day, your testimony might be really help stevens in the event of a lawsuit. Say he died because he overshot... if you were to testify that the speed was really inconsistent that day due to snow conditions, it could be proven that he died because of changing snow speed conditions and his lack of ability to adapt to them, instead of them deciding that Stevens "misengineered" the jump.
