Some recommendations please

i am looking for some new skis. here is what i need in a ski:

1) good amount of stiffness (i used to race and love to carve the hell out of a runat high speeds)

2)good edge hold (i ski in michigan mostly, which means ice)

3)not too heavy(i still do like the park so i dont want lead weights on my feet but i would rather have a heavy stiffer ski than a lighter softer one)

i have skied on rossi bandits for the past several years and i want to try something new. i loved the bandits and everything they offered was just about perfect. saying that i dont necessarily need a true twin tipbut if one is available with everything else i like in a ski than great.

whoops... Stick to well established race companies if you want a stiff ride. Head is a good example. Chances are everyone will tell you to go with the coolest company. If you have a chance try before you buy.

 
If you want a stiffer twin that carves, check out the Volkl Karma and 05/06 PE's. Maybe even the Volkl Mantra if you want something with a bit more girth.

ANT pros might be good, we know they're stiff but that's about it. Something from Volkl would also be good (stiff, great edge hold).

 
Trouble Makers hands down. I am an ex-racer and I love them. People exaggerate the whole durability thing though. They aren't going to snap the edges off when you do rails. Only when you do big ol lipslide gap to down shit and urbaning. Trust me, I use them for my rails skis and they are holding up fine....if only they didn't have such a gay graphic next year.....

deff get the atomic tweaks there nice and still they carv very nice on ice and they are very light they are just what u need man

look into Line's Prophet 80 for 06' if you want something different, they're supposed to be a good all mountain twin and they should hold up ok in the park. I might pick those up for this season...

if you just try and buy a ski that also makes racing skis, such as volkl, youll be well off. theyre majority of skis arnt twins. and alot of them are racing skis. so if your an ex racer, you might wanna look into like the karma or a smaller twin from volkl.

i have been checkin out alot of reviews from different places and i think i have narrowed it down to karmas or public enemys. maybe tweaks but i havent been able to find a lot of reviews or anything on them yet

between the karmas and PE's go with karma if you want a stiffer ski

hmm, Head Mad Trix are pretty stiff, and good all mtn. skis.
