Some photos from protests in Boston.

I have gone out twice in the last few days to capture what's happening on the street here. Pretty powerful events to witness. My first chance to really shoot in a photojournalist's environment.

Most of these are from Sunday during a day protest in Harvard Yard. I will be adding more photos of Thursday night.

Let's steer the conversation away from politics and towards photography.

most, if not all, look underexposed

I like the underexposure. It adds to the mood of the photos.

Some changes in expression would be nice in the portraits. I like the second to last photo - his eyes are filled with emotion. The others simply look like they're posing for a photo.

this is fucked that this is happening in my city, I've been a way from home for a while now and this is apparently what I will be going home to. Fuck.

not sure what all these downvotes on comments are about.

Nice photos man, especially 4, 6, and 10.

@the comment about underexposed, i disagree. the blacks are black just as they should be.

few things i'd critique. portraits shot wider than 50 look weird and 7 is just poor composition.

I love the comp in that one, it makes me look all around the frame and I find the man laying there nicely leads into the people on the stairs.
