Some Konova Slider Questions...

Hey guys!

I am planning on buying the Konova slider pretty soon here. I have a few questions for some people. I have heard mixed opinions from some people, so I want to hear what everyone has to say.

1. When mounting the konova slider onto my 701 head which will be mounted on 055XB legs, will I see a dip when I go to either the far left or far right? Some people have said they have and some have not had any problems with it?

2. What length should I get? I want to make this somewhat portable. I want to be able to shoot urban with it and take it if I go on vacation somewhere and not have a problem with size. Maybe possibly strap to my dakine sequence?

3. What ball heads/ fluid heads have the same QR system as my 701? This will be going on top of the slider. I want to be able to set everything up quick, so I need something that will compatible with the 701 QR plate. Prefer a ball head if possible.

oops. I forgot.

4. Will I have an issue with the head on top of the slider coming loose? I know theres nothing really that locks the head onto the surface, hence the screws on the 055 legs.
 
I also would like to know a pretty cheap ball head to mount on top, I've got a GlideTrack and a 501 underneath but need something on top
 
just unscrew the head from the legs and mount it up. super fast. you dont really need to buy a ball head or anything, cause then u have to take off ur quick release plate too.

My friend has the exact same konova slider set up with the same tripod and legs, and none of those problems happened. We went on a road trip last summer and i filming lots of shots with it.

and i would get the shortest konova slider, that will work the best when u only have 1 tripod, plus its still plenty long
 
^alright thanks. the reason i want to mount a ball head ontop of it is for 2 reasons. 1. i already have a second QR plate i got for free. 2. its much easier to get vertical sliding shots.
 
i know any old ball head will work. im just seeing what my options are for heads compatible with the 70 QR system.
