i made a new screen name to remain unknown... i need advice about something. i think im in love with this girl, and never have been in love before. i am in college, and am going home for the summer in 6 days, and wont see her for 3 months. should i tell her that i think im in love with her or wait till the fall?

she is the faithful kind, we were talking about how the summer would be, and just have a 'break' and see how things are when the summer ends. i dunno if i could live with it if she found another guy...

yeah gmram is right on.....you basically have four scenarios:

1) you don't tell her, she goes home, and you spend the whole summer wondering. of course you won't spend the whole summer wondering, you'll call her and tell her you love her over the phone(if you got her phone number which i'm assuming you did), she'll feel the same way, but there won't be anything either of you can do about it til you see each other again, and it won't be near as cool as if you'd told her in person.

2) you don't tell her, wait, call, and she doesn't feel the same way, and you will feel like a dumbass for not getting it over with earlier.

3) you tell her, and she doesn't feel the same way. at least you know, and you can spend the summer with a load off your chest (hopefully)

4) you tell her, she feels the same way, and you guys have killer sex multiple times right before you both leave.

you just got finished with your first year of college, so i'm sure you're all too familiar with multiple choice tests. tell her now, don't make a humongous deal out of it, and don't spook her out, just tell her all the things you love about her and leave it at that. we have faith in you

You 'think' you're in love? ...usually I'd say 'You'd KNOW if you were', but waiting for that kind of certainty seems to be an issue in this case. If you do leave it too long, you'll regret it. I agree with what others have posted, tell her, but do it privately, not over dinner (unless it's dinner alone, I wasn't clear on what you were saying there).

i didnt do it...it was too hard and i didnt feel sure enough. by the way jd, i have never loved anyone in my life, not even my parents (they didnt give a shit about me), so i really dont know what love is like at all. its so confusing to me

 
Have you hooked up with her yet? I dont know how old you are but you could try and take her to a nice bar and have a few drinks, will help both of you relax and then you could try and kiss her. Maybe dont throw the whole love thing at her straight away, try and hook up with her first... Will be easier to tell her you love her if your lying in bed with her than while eating a pizza.

 
its not that early in the relationship, we've been together for like a month, and she slept over once, but i never had sex with her. for me, thats a rare thing, it caused me to have more feelings between us.

well,then focus on building an even stronger relationship based on kissing and talking,and sex will eventually come as a complementary thing.I don't think there's too much to worry
