Solomon Waranty?

I was skiing park all day today and hiking rails and after one hiking a rail i put down my skis to clip in and noticed a weird looking scratch on my topsheet. I look at it closer and i was like shit, thats a crack. I looked on the bottom of the ski and there was a crack in the same spot as on the topsheet. So now i got a crack in my last year's solomon 1080 juniors. It's only about 3 inches long and pretty narrow but do u think they got a good enough warranty so i can send em in and get new ones?

 
they were good about mine, but mine were delaminating on the tail. i dont know if you could pull it off by saying it was from something other then rails. if you mention rails they wont do anything, cause the warrenty says something about 'use on rails at your own risk' or something like that. i have yet to see a company that will replace skiis because of rails. but if you could trick them and say it was manufacturer defect it would work. o also, im pretty sure salomon only has 1 year warrentys unless you bought an exteneded warrenty or something.

 
I bet after a year you're screwed for the warranty, but if less send them back. Good luck with that.

ouch, they only got a year warranty? they suck. :( that ruined my day. And i actually didnt get it from rails. i got it from hitting a rock *wink, wink*

 
you're fucked dude! salomon will notice it's not a manufacturer's defect and tell you to go suck a dick!

there is no warranty for hitting anything. 2 years if you have salomon bindings, but if its from impact of any kind, no go on the warranty

 
A crack running thru the top sheet to the base is not normal. call up and get a RA (return authorization) number. and we will most likely send you a replacement. SEND BOTH SKIS !

....Don't take No from someone who doesn't have the authority to say Yes....
 
I notice you used the word 'we'. Would 'we' be able to give me a warranty replacement to my 161 1080's with edge cracks? Pretty pleeeeeaaase

 
sweet, ya i got bindings with em so im gunna go to the shop sometime this week and i'll report back on what they say.
