Looking at a pair of rocker 2's for primarily powder skiing in Jackson hole. I couldn't find a lot of legitimate reviews, but they look good. I'm just curious about what NS thinks about them.

I've never owned a cap-construction ski (only ridden ON3P kartels) so I am a bit hesitant about buying them. I'd like a really hard charging ski that can hold up on big drops. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys.

I've only used the Rocker2 100's, which I definitely enjoy, but here's what Blister's reviewer Paul Forward said about the 122's:

"This is the slashiest, floatiest, most playful of the more traditional shapes. It’s super fun in pow, though the shovels can fold up pretty bad in chop and get a little scary (for me) in deep, heavy, maritime, tracked-up snow, where i sometimes just push right through the front of them.

Overall, though, the Rocker2 122 is a very fun resort and heli pow ski. It’s a little heavy, but it’s playful and jibby for experts, while making pow skiing super easy for beginner and intermediates."

Don't really seem like "chargy" skis, which I'm not surprised about based off my experience on the 100's. The 108's are actually a bit more directional, although still not what I'd call chargy.

I've skied mine lightly for about 3 years. Never really got the hang of them, then again, its a big, heavy ski for the east coast. The only time they ever really felt right was up in Tuckerman Ravine where i could really let the skis run. If youre skiing 6+ of fresh in open terrain on a regular basis, they could be a fun ski.

Look into the Moment Bibby or even the Deathwish. Both are hard charge skis, the Deathwish at 112 is more chargy and stable, goes through anything. The Bibby is going to be a more pow based ski more similar to the Rocker 122s, and can hold their own really well. I think they'd be up your alley

Not a charging ski at all. You should be looking more directional if you want an actual charging ski. On3p billygoat is a good soft snow charger....moment governer....on3p wrenagade....etc etc.

If I were you I would wait till you get to jhole. You'd be surprised at how much your style changes etc. Demo some skis

I have a pair of the last years Rocker 122's. Its a really fun freestyle powder ski. Definitely not a hard charging ski, more of a playful ski feel to me, softer tips and tails with the honeycomb. Has a low swing weight. Best part, is its a ski you can ride every single day. It rips on hard snow as well as soft snow. I have mine mounted 1 back of center and it skis switch very well and is easy to spin on also. If you can get them for a good price, I would definitely do it.

I have the 108. Pretty playful ski, but can still carry some speed. If you're looking to charge than definitely get something stiffer maybe with a flatter tail.
