Solo Travel to Sunshine Village tips??

Hey all,

I've totally missed my ski season due to school, and was planning to take a trip to sunshine village AB end of April-ish. Does anyone have any tips on good sites to book a stay/flight? I've never done this stuff before so pretty clueless on being smart about planning. I'll be travelling alone cause I don't want people to drop out and screw up plans. God please let me ski for one week.

Local tip: if you show up at the lodge cafeteria and order a burger and say "get me the horse meat special", my boy frank at the grill will top that shit up ?

Make sure to go really fast over the bumps out of old ski out just below the gondola midstation. Ur gunna need lots of speed, dont worry theres no cliffs or anything, I swear.
 
Where are you coming from?

I usually just check google flights, or the hopper app. Any hotel in Banff will be close to the shuttle pickup if you won't be getting a rental car

Im in Ontario just outside GTA so id probably be using pearson
 
Hey man, I’m out at sunshine every week and a regular in the Banff area. If you need any advice send me a pm!

I can’t help you out in regards to flights, but Banff has a bunch of great hostels that will be cheaper then a hotel room

If you do want a hotel room tho, I’d say book one in Canmore. It’s only 20 minutes away and will definitely be cheaper then Banff.

Sunshine runs a free shuttle service out of Banff and Canmore, so you don’t have to worry about getting a rental car.

Yo man, so if you're flying and all you wanna do is ski I'd say try to stay up at the resort. Getting from Banff to Sunshine is a little drive and parking and the gondola and all the bullshit is actually dece wack there. Its extra money but if you and your homies just share beds or sleep on floors it will be hella worth it and all you'll need to worry about is goin skiing every day. There's enough food options up there it's do able and there's even a little bar thats open till midnight. But like you wont be able to hit the clubs.

Book it like immediately tho cause hotels get full then ur fucked. But yea call em and see if they have some rooms.

The secret technique is having a homie at every resort so you can sleep on their staff accom couches. The party's are also better.
