Solar eclipse watch party

Are there any ski resorts in the path of totality that might be worth heading to? It would be fucking priceless to watch a total solar eclipse while skiing. Looks like Sugarbush might be a possibility (chairs stop spinning during the event so might have to post up somewhere beforehand?). Flight prices from the west coast are insane right now though...

if you want to go to vermont jay peak is prob the best and they have the most snow right now on the east.

Bolton Valley because it's right in the path of totality AND has night skiing. It's also right outside Burlington which will have a ton of hotels to stay at and is a fun city to visit with a ton do while you're not skiing.

Oh shit true, forgot about Maine. Sugarloaf is also a beast of a mountain. So many options in Northern NE...

Sugarloaf possibly getting 2 ft of snow tomorrow and will be 100 percent open. Great parks and watching the eclipse from the peak would be so sick

Had plans for that weekend but had to cancel because hotels were like 1k+ a night for the stupid eclipse and all the nerds trying to stare at the sun

Going to try and do some sort of chill pipe event day of the eclipse if the snow holds up as well. Was looking a bit scary for a few weeks but with this storm we should be chillin

Thats because a total eclipse is fucking epic. Its an event where civilizations of the past thought it was a torturous act of god. The one in 2017 was mind boggling. Seeing the solar flares of the sun.
