Softer or stock flex on ON3P mangos

Thinking of buying some mangos as pure park skis as I already have all mountains. I mainly like buttering and that kind of stuff so I was thinking of getting softer flex but am not 100% sure. I have Tom Wallisch Pros and i don’t know if they’re generally considered soft or stiff, but I think I’d prefer something softer than those at least.

Any recommendations from mango owners or anyone else?

Also, thoughts on the best width for park/butering? 90/100/110...

Don't get too caught up on needing soft skis for buttering if you get good at it then you will be able to flex most park skis out there. Stock layup will be plenty flexible enough after some breaking in but they are not particularly soft skis. I would go with the soft layup if you are under 150 lbs / ski somewhere with mostly smaller features / are really set on trying some soft skis.

am actually like 220 lbs and 196cm (6’5 I think), but I’m definitely more into smaller features. Considering I’m that heavy, do you think really soft skis will feel bad?

You might like them but at your weight the stock layup should be soft enough

I’m your height and a bit lighter (around 200). I have some older kartel 96 which is obviously a different ski but still same idea for rocker and I’ll say 100 percent don’t go soft. Been a couple times I almost went onto my face doing nose butters. The mixture of height weight and the rocker profile make it easy to go overboard when buttering.

alright cool! Any advice on the width for being playful/buttering/smaller features, does it matter? It’s usually around freezing so wet snow if that matters. Don’t need them to work for powder, have dedicated skis for that.

also like how does length play into this? Should I go for the max length of 186cm since I’m 196 tall?

Yeah you should definitely go stock flex it will feel so much better then going soft flex.

90 or 100 would both be great park skis and you should definitely do max length, they might even be a little short for you. Width matters only a little bit for buttering just go for whatever looks more fun.

yup finding long enough skis is a struggle believe me. I think the Tom wallisch pros are 176 or smthn? So I’m good with 186. Thanks for the help
