First off, ive played varsity soccer since i was a freshman. So today in studyhall I was asked by the football coach if I would kick for them. He said I could still play soccer and I would miss football for soccer. Idk. Should I do it? I'm worried it might be too much stuff going on in one season. And I've never even kicked a football before. Thoughts?

Yeah. How hard is it exactly? I was worried about being able to hit it straight bc of bending it for soccer

i know a girl who played varsity soccer for 3 years and then switched to football for senior year. but she was a dope soccer player.

Field Goals are tricky

You will have to determine which type of kicker you are are you straight on (ie with your toe) or are you from an angle (ie with the side of your foot) then you will have to determine how far back from the ball you like to stand are you a one step then kick or are you a 3 step and then kick....and for a field goal to be kicked you have to get it off with in 4 seconds or you will get creamed so you will have to find a place holder (guy who holds your ball while you kick it) who you have good chemistry with.

40 - 50 yarders are tricky especially 4 out of 5 it will take a lot of practice. My freshmen year a kid in my grade was a soccer player they converted him just to kick...and he went on to win all conference the next 3 years for kicking and also holds the record for most field goals attempted and made in our conference.

Doing kick off is easy you just boot it

It shouldn't be hard for you to convert all you will do is put on pads and a helmet and kick all practice...atleast thats all they had our kicker do...he barely ever had to do conditioning
