So when do you guys think Max Hill will sign up with Surface?

Think about it he seems like the type of guy that would be on that team. I say with in a year he will be off line and on Surface.
 
naaaa i think he fits nice on lines team. they have a very diverse group of skiers and i think having him on the team really rounds things out nice

he seems to fit on line well, he might leave sometime but i don't think he will within the next year
 
nah man, I think line's goal since they dropped every major pro on their team except Pollard has been to build a progressive AM, skate style centered group of core riders.....plus Pollard. I think they have begun to diversify within the last year with LJ getting pretty big and a number of European riders, but I would definitely describe the company as just that.
 
dude, he is, he was sweet with matchstick when line made 1260s, but hes gone soft, like the snow he only rides, its pussy, the camera is fuckin sweet, his clothes are awesome, line somehow made it through the earlier years to make quality skis. but pollard has gone soft-pow pussy and it makes for some boring film. its cool if i see a park rat go big mountain in the same segment, but he doesn't even ride skis that are narrow enough for aggressive park. he's laid back, which is cool and all, but theres a difference between whiping out in powder and in the park. im east coast, im jealous, i want powder, but im not gonna think someones sweet if thats all they do anymore. hes even put clips of him snowboarding on videos that are sold to people... hes not a snowboarder, thats a waste of film. he also needs to rail sum ritalin or sumthin, cuz he speaks really slowly and acts all mellow like woooee duuude that was raaad, just hit the fuckin gap, bitch, it's not like it's your job or nethin to impress me

The fact of the matter is that he's making money skiing exactly the way he wants to. He's a great guy, a great influence and does great things for the industry. Skiing is WHAT YOU MAKE IT. For some people it's skiing skinny park skis, and "hitting the fucking gap". For other people it's exactly what he's doing, how can you fault him on that?

are you fucking serious, so anything other than park is pussy skiing? i bet youve never skiied a line, hit a cliff, or thrown something off a BC jump...its a whole different ball game. what pollard does on skis is insane...he is one of the people who revolutionized powder skiing. i could go on, but my main point is you are an ignorant tool...you must be the kid who slides 10 ft rails when theres a foot of pow to be had
 
I would not say that surface was ever emo that style was more indie/hipster than anything and besides surface has changed a lot, they have a lot of riders like banks, kiesel and bishop who are far from the tight pants wearing style
 
i guess surface does have some real good kids now that i think about it, holson and kiesel, keefer. but that i think was since causwell came out. but still i think max really fits with line.
 
nobody should talk shit about pollard he is doing what he wants to do and especially getting paid to ski and travel around the globe, he skis backcountry cause he wants to.

Oh ok, that makes perfect sense, because an entire ski brand is seen as happy because of two guys who ride them, and another brand is seen as emo and depressing because there aren't any webisodes done by their riders? That's fucking stupid, especially since you were just arguing about it with one of the riders you listed as having sweet style on Surface.
