ok its kinda long, but not really. and its kinda confusing, but not really.

so this guy, bob, and this girl, mary, (names changed by the way) were into the whole, go on webcam and get off to each other thing. so bob takes screen shots while mary is on webcam, but he just keeps them to himself. for his own viewing pleasure. so one night, mary says 'bob, my cam isnt working, but can you go on yours?' and he does, and once he's finished his little 'routine' mary goes, oh i was joking, my cam works fine. she turns it on, and a roomfull of marys best friends are there. (bob and mary go to the same school, so everyone knows everyone). bob gets all pissed, and i guess rightfully so, so he emails these pictures of mary to almsot everyone he knows. everyone forwards it to everyone else, and it gets around the school damn quick. so mary gets pissed, and i guess rightfully so, so she calls the cops on his ass. he gets arrested with possesion of child porn, they seize his computer, and shes pressing charges and has intent to sue. shes dumb, hes dumber, they are both fucked.

It's entirely possible that the evidence is inadmissable, depending on the situation. Although I suppose the testimony of the appellant MIGHT be enough to get a warrant... not entirely sure. Still, worth checking. Unless they declared the warrant before searching his property, it's all void. Secondly, if the computer is his dad's... heheheh. Sorry, dad.

Oh, and she can't sue for actual money. She's suffered no damages. Can't count as libel, because it's true. She can press criminal charges, but there are ways around that... specifically, he's 16, and being tried as a minor (which he will be, no doubt) for possession of child porn is patently absurd. Next, he no doubt has chat logs or other proof that she, too, has been... er... viewing illegal material. He does have a lot of options, suprisingly enough. This could turn out rather badly for BOTH parties.

It's Canada, he can be tried as an adult at the court's discretion if he's 15 years of age or older. However, they hardly ever exercise that privelige, except in extreme cases (1st deg. murder and so on). So yeah, it seems far-fetched.
